SEW EURODRIVE
SEW-Eurodrive is a leading German manufacturer of drive technology, gear reducers, gear motors, frequency inverters and servo systems for industrial automation and process industries. With a catalog of 981 products, SEW-Eurodrive supplies complete drive solutions for conveyor systems, hoisting installations, mixing machines and production automation in the automotive, food and logistics sectors. SEW-Eurodrive operates globally with production facilities in 17 countries and sales offices in more than 50 countries, ensuring short delivery times and comprehensive technical support worldwide.
SEW-Eurodrive WF-series worm gear reducers are the most used products in the range. The WF30-series MT80N8 gear motors combine a worm gear reducer with a three-phase asynchronous motor in one compact assembly. Reduction ratios from 1:5 to 1:100, output powers from 0.09 kW to 22 kW, and flange-mounted or foot-mounted versions are available. All motors are constructed conforming to IEC/EN 60034 energy performance standards with availability in IE2 and IE3 efficiency classes for energy-efficient operation.
SEW-Eurodrive encoders for (E)DR servo motors are available as absolute multi-turn SSI/EnDat encoders or incremental TTL/SinCos encoders. The ES7C/EV7C encoder series are mounted as options on SEW MOVIMOT and MOVITRAC frequency inverters for precise speed control and torque regulation of drive motors. Hybrid connection cables integrate power cables and encoder cables in one prefabricated cable for simplified wiring of distributed drive systems and reduction of installation costs.
SEW-Eurodrive frequency inverters (MOVITRAC, MOVIMOT, MOVIDRIVE) provide speed and torque control for three-phase asynchronous motors and servo motors. MOVIMOT integrated drive units combine the frequency inverter with the motor in one motor-mounted assembly for decentralized drive architectures. MOVIDRIVE B servo controllers provide high-dynamic torque control for positioning and synchronization applications in printing, automotive and packaging industries.
SEW-Eurodrive gear motors are also available in hygienic versions for the food and pharmaceutical industries. Stainless steel housings (AISI 316L), smooth surfaces without accumulation zones and NSF H1-certified lubricants ensure compliance with FDA and EHEDG cleaning requirements. The DR-series hygienic gear motors conform to IP69K protection class for high-pressure cleaning with hot water and steam.
At Verkopershulp.nl you will find the complete SEW-Eurodrive range including gear reducers, gear motors, encoders, hybrid cables and drive accessories. History
SEW-Eurodrive was founded in 1931 by Ernst Blickle in Bruchsal, Germany, as a manufacturer of gear reducers for industrial drive applications. The company was a pioneer in developing standardized gear reducer sizes for simple interchangeability in industrial machines, enabling the manufacturing sector to use interchangeable drive components. In the 1950s, SEW introduced the integrated gear motor concept, combining motor and reducer in one unit. In the 1970s, SEW launched its first MOVITRAC frequency inverter, initiating the transition to electronic speed control for industrial motors. The 1980s and 1990s saw rapid international expansion of SEW's production network. Today SEW-Eurodrive employs more than 21,000 people with production facilities in 17 countries and sales offices in 50 countries worldwide.
