ETP

ETP is a Swedish brand of hydraulic shaft couplings and precision shaft hubs for clamping gears, pulleys, and other drive elements onto shafts without keyways or keyseats. The company, part of the Nord-Lock Group, supplies friction-based shaft connection technology enabling wear-free and precise drive connections.

The ETP product range includes hydraulic shaft couplings (ETP-CLASSIC, ETP-EXPRESS, ETP-TECHNO), precision bushings, and shaft hub sets that clamp the drive element directly onto the shaft by hydraulic pressure. The connection is quick to mount and dismount, completely backlash-free, and provides exact positioning and high torque transmission.

At Verkopershulp.nl you will find ETP hydraulic shaft couplings and shaft hub sets. Our drive technicians advise on the correct ETP type and size for your shaft diameter and applied torque.

History

ETP Transmission AB was founded in Sweden and developed a unique hydraulic clamping technology replacing traditional key-hub connections. After integration into the Nord-Lock Group, ETP grew into a global supplier of precision shaft connection technology for manufacturing industry.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does an ETP hydraulic shaft coupling work?
An ETP shaft coupling consists of a double-walled inner tube filled with oil. By tightening the lock screw, you compress the oil, causing the inner wall to exert radial pressure on the shaft and the outer wall to clamp in the hub. This provides a friction coupling connection without a key.
What torque can an ETP-CLASSIC transmit?
The transmissible torque depends on the shaft diameter and ETP type. As a guideline: ETP-CLASSIC for shaft Ø25 mm transmits approximately 200 Nm. See the specification table for maximum torque per type and shaft diameter.
How do I disassemble an ETP shaft coupling?
Loosen the lock screw to release the oil pressure. Once the pressure is released, the drive element can be pulled off the shaft. For stuck connections, a special extraction set is available.
Is an ETP connection suitable for bidirectional loading?
Yes, ETP connections are symmetric and suitable for bidirectional torque loading. The friction connection distributes the load evenly over the entire contact surface.
For which shaft diameters are ETP shaft couplings available?
ETP-CLASSIC is available for shaft diameters from Ø8 mm to Ø200 mm. ETP-EXPRESS and ETP-TECHNO are available in a comparable range. Contact us for non-standard shaft diameters.
